Giro d'Italia 2010 - 18. stage

The 18th stage of Giro d?Italia will pass trough Limone sul Garda on 27th May 2010, touching most of the west coast towns, running in an amazing natural amphitheatre that only lake Garda can give!
This event will be followed by its efficient media group and our town will be involved in supporting this sport competition also decorating the town with the classic colour of the t-shirt of Giro d?Italia: pink.
The bike Ride "Giro d'Italia 2010" is particularly hard, as the cyclists have to approach all legendary up hills.
It starts in Amsterdam on 8th May and after three Dutch stages (always starting from Amsterdam) transfers to Italy.
In program are 5 up hill finishes, 7 sport sprinter stages, and 3 individual time trials.
The 5th stage is in honour of Fausto Coppi, while the 11th is dedicated to the earthquake in the Abruzzi Land and the 13th to the champion Pantani.
The ride finishes in Verona, like in the 1984?s edition, won by Francesco Moser.
On 27th Mai - 18. Stage of the ride - is in program the pass Levico Terme - Brescia, over the famous lake shore road "Gardesana Occidentale" and the nice villages on the Lake Garda.
At the start will be Cadel Evans, world champion 2009, Wiggins and Sastre, together with all the most famous Italian cyclists.
